Abstract

Follicular dendritic cell (FDC) sarcoma is an extremely rare malignant neoplasm that can develop in the head and neck in both lymph nodes and extranodal sites. Only 4 cases of FDC tumor of the nasopharynx have been published before. Because of its rarity, FDC sarcoma is not easily recognized by clinicians or pathologists. We present the case of a FDC tumor of the nasopharynx in a 36-year-old woman.
